Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Nurse

Location: Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £13.69 - £14.50 per hour

Can you help children learn numeracy and language skills through games, singing and storytelling?

Can you listen to each child and support individual needs?

Can you plan and supervise fun and educational activities to support their development?

About the role

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming, local day nursery based in Nottinghamshire who are looking for a passionate and caring nursery nurse to support them on a day-to-day basis. The working days are flexible due to your availability, but you must be available to cover shifts between 9am – 5pm.

Key responsibilities

• Support children with their daily routines including meals, naps, and playtime.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
• Assist children in developing numeracy and language skills through games, singing, and storytelling.
• Provide individual support and listen to each child’s needs.

Key requirements

• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years (required)
• Previous experience working in a nursery (required)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A passion for working with young children and making a difference in their lives
• Knowledge of safeguarding
• Driving License (preferred)
• Paediatric First Aid certificate
