DEFENCE LITIGATION SOLICITOR- NQ-4 YEARS PQE

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded, market-leading law firm seeking an experienced Solicitor to join their Northern Ireland Casualty Injury team based in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a varied and complex caseload, including employers’ liability, public liability, and disease claims.

As the team expands, they are increasingly involved in pre-emptive advice and dispute resolution, offering excellent exposure and growth potential for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and assist with a varied caseload of both pre-litigation and litigated work, including cases with disputed liability.

  • Supervise junior team members and provide guidance as required.

  • Support marketing and business development initiatives within the team, such as attending client events and providing training.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the firm’s procedures and strategies.

  • Attend training sessions and read relevant publications to enhance technical knowledge.

  • Handle confidential information in compliance with data security protocols.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A Solicitor with strong experience in employers’ liability, public liability, or disease claims, particularly in Northern Ireland.

  • Demonstrates a commercial approach to legal matters with an emphasis on quality service delivery.

  • A confident communicator, capable of conveying ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • A detail-oriented individual capable of producing high-quality work.

  • Able to work independently, but also willing to collaborate and learn from team members.

  • A proactive and flexible team player, motivated to contribute to a successful department.
