BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a highly regarded regional law firm with a strong reputation in employment law, seeking an Employment Solicitor (NQ-5 PQE) to join its growing team in Shrewsbury. This is a permanent, full-time position offering high-quality employer-side work, hands-on responsibility, and excellent long-term career prospects within a supportive and ambitious team.

The Team:

The Employment team is known for its personable approach and delivery of high-quality, partner-led legal services. They act for a broad client base including SMEs, family businesses, and larger commercial organisations across a range of sectors. The team handles both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, focusing on employer clients, and offering strategic, commercial advice across the full spectrum of workplace issues.

The Role:

Working closely with senior lawyers and partners, you will advise on a broad range of employment law matters including:
Employment contracts, handbooks, and HR policies
Redundancy and restructuring processes
Disciplinary and grievance procedures
TUPE and business transfers
Employment Tribunal claims (respondent-side)
Day-to-day HR and strategic advice for employer clients
Client meetings, relationship management, and business development
