To support our next phase of growth, we are seeking a Non-Executive Director (NED) with proven fundraising expertise and deep knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks.

Role Overview

The Non-Executive Director will bring independent challenge and oversight to the Board, with a particular focus on guiding the company through growth capital initiatives, investor relations, and ensuring FCA compliance. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong track record in raising funds, navigating financial regulations, and advising high-growth businesses in the investment or fintech space.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Provide independent strategic guidance and constructive challenge to the executive team.

Support fundraising efforts by leveraging networks with institutional investors, venture capital, and private equity.

Advise on capital structure, investor relations, and long-term financing strategy.

Ensure effective governance, with a strong focus on FCA compliance and risk management.

Monitor financial performance and ensure strategic decisions are underpinned by sound financial planning.

Contribute external perspectives on investment trends, regulatory developments, and growth opportunities.

Act as a trusted advisor and mentor to the CEO and senior leadership team.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

Proven track record of raising capital for high-growth businesses (venture-backed, fintech, or investment platforms).

Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks within the UK financial services sector.

Previous Board or senior leadership experience in investment management, financial services, or fintech.

Deep network of investors, VCs, and institutional capital providers.

Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to assess risk and opportunity.

Excellent communication and influencing skills at Board and investor level.

High integrity, independence of thought, and sound judgment.

Commitment

Approx. 2 days per month, including attendance at Board meetings, strategy sessions, and availability for ad-hoc consultation.

Remuneration

Competitive, commensurate with experience and commitment.
