At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Non-Destructive Testing Coordinator at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services.

The Role

As a Non-Destructive Testing Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most significant nuclear projects.

Day-to-day, you’ll

  • Coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) activities with contractors and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
  • Review NDT reports and radiographs to verify adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Verify technician certifications, equipment calibration, and environmental conditions for testing.
  • Witness NDT procedures and prepare daily surveillance reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of NDT activities using SONIMS.
Essential Experience and Qualifications

Proven experience of NDT, ideally including Phased Array Qualification, and experience working on major engineering projects. Nuclear industry experience is beneficial.

  • PCN Level III in Radiographic Testing and Phased Array.
  • Level II in Ultrasonic Testing, Penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing.
  • CSWIP or PCN film interpretation across all metal types.
