Night Vet – 1-Year Fixed Term Contract

24-Hour Small Animal Practice | Lancashire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Night Vet to join a thriving 24-hour small animal practice in the heart of Chorley, Lancashire. This well-established, community-focused clinic is committed to delivering outstanding veterinary care, with everything needed right on the doorstep. The successful candidate will join a supportive team led by an experienced Branch Partner and Practice Manager, working alongside a friendly and skilled group of 7 day and 3 night RVNs, 6 Vets, 4 CCAs and 1 VCA.

This position offers a 1-year fixed term contract, with a highly attractive shift pattern of 5 nights on, 10 nights off, covering the hours of 7:00pm to 9:00am—providing an excellent work–life balance.

Role Responsibilities

The Night Vet will deliver first-class clinical care during consultations and procedures, ensure clients receive clear and compassionate updates, and consistently uphold the highest regulatory and practice standards. They will prepare tailored treatment plans with transparent costings, support and mentor colleagues to enhance team performance, and ensure smooth clinical handovers or transfer arrangements for any patient requiring enhanced or out-of-hours care.
