A veterinary care provider is seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its team in Liverpool. Medivet Alder 24h Hospital is currently seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team at their well-equipped, busy hospital.

This part-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to develop nursing skills in medical and surgical nursing, working alongside a dedicated night veterinary surgeon. The working pattern is 7 nights on 7 nights off on a rolling rota.

Role Accountabilities

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
