We are looking for full time to support day-to-day communications work that helps us engage with the public and promote the Police and Crime Commissioner’s priorities.
You’ll help develop our social media channels and following through creating and delivering innovative, interesting and engaging content like videos, carousels, images and infographics.

The will play a key role in delivering the PCC’s public-facing communications.
You’ll be part of a small but impactful team working to increase public confidence in policing, prevent crime and support victims.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is run by a dedicated team who support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is to be the voice of local people in policing and to hold the Chief Constable to account. The aim of all PCCs is to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient police service within their force area.

Please note that government plans are underway to transfer functions under the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) model to a Police and Crime Board in May 2028 as part of reforms introduced by the Police Reform Bill.
Functions delivered by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) will still be required under the new model however the specific arrangements of this transfer are in their infancy and yet to be defined.
These changes are intended to enable better join up with local services across Avon and Somerset.
