Overview

New Business Property & Casualty Underwriter – Birmingham – Hybrid

IPS Group are working with a global insurer that offers a wide range of insurance to diverse clients across several countries with a significant presence in the UK. They are seeking 2 New Business Underwriters to join their Property & Package team in Birmingham. This is a newly created role focused on SME / lower mid-market.

The Role / Team

You will deal with property and casualty policies across the SME / mid-market segment. The business has a diverse appetite and can write risks as either a combined product or singular with premiums starting from 10k, with no upper ceiling due to their corporate offering.

You will be part of an overall team of 12 with mixed experience, offering opportunities to learn from peers and to drive growth in this area. You will be supported by the wider group and Underwriting Managers based in Birmingham.

Required Skills / Experience

• Experience in a similar role with an insurer or MGA.
• Experience working on commercial combined or singular policies, with a bias towards property.
