Job summary

A leading technology recruitment agency is looking for a Network & Infrastructure Engineer in Farnborough. The successful candidate will have strong experience in VLAN management and routing, firewall administration using Fortigate, and managing VMware environments. This is a 6-month onsite contract with a rate of £450 to £480 per day, inside IR35.

Network & Infrastructure Engineer - VLAN

Onsite: Farnborough

Contract: 6 month initial contract

Rate: £450 to £480 per day - Inside IR35

We're seeking a Network Engineer with strong experience in VLAN management, routing, and firewall administration (Fortigate). You'll manage VMware/vCenter environments, Dell server iDRAC, and mixed-vendor networking (Fortinet, Dell, HPE/Aruba). The role requires hands-on oversight of on-prem systems, adherence to change control processes, and maintaining secure, stable operations across firewalls, virtualisation, Wi-Fi, and physical servers.

Skillset Required

• Networking (especially around VLAN management and routing)


• Firewall management (Fortigate)


• VMware / vCenter


• iDRAC management


• Familiarity with change control processes (to follow the client\'s internal procedures)
