Overview

NET Developer – Blackburn. 4 days in the office & 1 day from home. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000. Our client who provides software support for the travel industry is currently on the lookout for a .NET Developer with VB, ASP to join their growing team. They are looking for an individual who can offer an innovative and proactive approach working across desktop and web-based products at a time of exciting and fast-paced company growth. The role will allow opportunities to work as part of a highly experienced team delivering new products and functionality whilst offering technical support to existing customer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of desktop and web-based products using .NET, VB, and ASP technologies.
• Work with key stakeholders to meet and where possible exceed expectations for the client base.
• Deliver new products and functionality while providing technical support for existing customer solutions.
• Collaborate with the team to address challenges across multiple technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Key skills and Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years experience working as part of a development team.
• Experience as a VB, ASP .NET Developer.
• Current or recent experience of working on a commercial product rather than an in-house solution.
• Experience working to timescales and within budget.
• Previous exposure to customers and the ability to see a project from a user perspective is highly desirable.
• Experience of JSON, jQuery and SQL would be advantageous.
• Some design experience would also be desirable but not essential.
