An opportunity for a Neonatal Discharge Coordinator nursery nurse role (Band 4, part time) has become available in Woodland Neonatal Unit, Watford to join our friendly and dynamic team.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic nursery nurse who will be supporting the neonatal unit and the outreach service in the provision of family integrated care for the baby and their families.
The successful applicant will be working in partnership with families to ensure seamless transition of care from hospital to home and safe discharge by providing parentcraft teachings/training, feeding advise, do home visits, make referral to appropriate agencies, etc.
The post holder will be working 7.5 hours per day (Wednesday and Friday). With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.

The Woodland Neonatal Unit is a Local Neonatal Unit within East of England providing care for infants born from 27 weeks gestation. The unit is a 19 bedded unit with two intensive care, five high dependency and 12 special care cots. We also manage a dedicated six bedded transitional care unit within postnatal ward and working collaboratively with the postnatal midwives.
