Job description
Title

NEC4 Contract Scope Author

Simply put, at KBR, we do things that matter.

Every day, our people work together to deliver solutions that are helping solve the great challenges and opportunities of our time, including climate change, national security, energy transition and security, cybersecurity, space exploration, and more.

We are seeking a proactive engineering, project management or commercial professional to lead on the production of NEC4 contract scope documentation. In addition to authoring sections of the scope documents, this role will coordinate, review and collate input from the other specialists in the Client team including engineering, quality, information management and project controls.

Working within the Project Management function, the Scope Author will work with the Project Manager and Commercial Departments to support procurement events from identification of a need, through to contract award to a successful supplier.

The role requires strong stakeholder management and coordination of multidisciplinary inputs, ensuring alignment with MoD governance parameters and alternate procurement strategies. Whilst the primary focus will be on development of the scope documentation, the individual will also contribute to programme development and supplier proposal reviews.

Experience Required

Experience in a related role with regular involvement in contract management – either pre- or post-contract stages. This experience could be gained from project management, technical or commercial roles.

Experience preparing or implementing a range of forms of NEC4 contracts, with strong knowledge of how Scope packages are constructed.

Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate and align multidisciplinary inputs across engineering, commercial, and project controls functions.

Location

The role is hybrid where 3 days per week will be spent either in the office in Glasgow City Centre or at site in Helensburgh.

Security Requirements

SC Clearance

Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.
