Job description

NC Programmer

Salary: Up to £90,000 per year

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are an advanced aeronautical manufacturing facility specialising in high-precision airframe structures and aerospace components. Operating across modern UK and international manufacturing sites, we deliver complex machining solutions for major aerospace customers using state-of-the-art 5-axis technology.

Due to the award of several new long‑term aerospace contracts, we are seeking an experienced NC Programmer / 3D CAD Technician to join our Engineering team in Swindon.

Role Responsibilities

• 3D modelling and NC programming in CATIA V5.
• Create NC setups, manufacturing drawings and process files.
• Read and interpret Airbus 2D drawings/specifications.
• Design fixtures and produce BOMs and supporting documentation.
• Full NC program verification using Vericut and resolving errors.
• Support 5-axis machining with Heidenhain and Siemens 840D controls.
• Produce detailed process and manufacturing documentation.

Experience Needed

• CATIA V5 Fundamentals & Manufacturing (accredited).
• Vericut 8 training.
• Experience with fixture design and cutting tool technology.
• Knowledge of Siemens 840D and Heidenhain iTNC530/640.
• Competent with Microsoft Office.
