National Account Lead – Consumer goods

Location: Greater London / Surrey (Hybrid – regular travel required)

Salary: £70 000 to £80 000 + bonus + benefits

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of a unique FMCG brand’s most important UK retail partnerships. As National Account Lead, you’ll play a critical role in driving sustainable growth across national accounts — spanning major supermarkets, convenience chains, forecourt groups, and leading wholesalers.

You’ll be central to shaping how the brand performs in market — leading customer relationships, developing joint business plans, and executing commercial strategies that strengthen distribution, visibility, and profitability across the UK.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
  • Extensive experience in FMCG Key Account Management within the UK retail landscape — preferably with major supermarkets. (Additionally experience in the convenience/wholesale channel, would be an advantage)
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Demonstrates effective people management skills, leading and developing teams to deliver consistently high performance, strong collaboration and real results.
  • An entrepreneurial, hands‑on mindset with resilience, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A positive, team‑oriented attitude — someone who brings energy, focus, and can share a laugh
Key responsibilities:
  • Leading regular account meetings with clear objective and performance plans
  • Managing, influencing, and growing key national accounts, including listing negotiations, distribution expansion, and space management
  • Planning, monitoring, and reporting on sales revenue, costs, budgets, and promotional activity
  • Executing tailored commercial and marketing campaigns in line in partnership with relevant teams
  • Building strong, long‑term customer relationships that drive sustainable value and support the growth of the company’s top brand
