Overview

This lovely family in Streatham, London, is looking for an After-school Nanny to care for their two school-aged children. The role involves all general nanny duties. The parents follow a consistent and structured approach, so they are looking for a nanny who is firm but fair, able to maintain clear boundaries while remaining warm and engaging. The ideal candidate will be energetic, outdoorsy, reliable, and confident in supporting a structured home environment. The family also has a guinea pig kept outside. A valid first aid qualification is required for this position.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (school holidays to be discussed).

Responsibilities
  • Picking the children up from school and transporting them to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments
  • Bathing the children and maintaining proper hygiene
  • Ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and overall development
  • Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits
  • Putting the children to bed and supporting their evening routine
  • Encouraging early literacy by reading books with the children
  • Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to promote structure and development
  • Keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children’s needs
