Overview

A lovely family based in Leatherhead, Surrey, are seeking an After-school Nanny to care for their toddler and school-aged child. The ideal candidate will be calm and patient, yet energetic enough to keep up with the children, and willing to take on light housekeeping duties related to them. As the family has a cat, a pet-friendly nanny would be ideal. Flexibility to travel with the family for 3 to 4 weeks per year would be a great advantage. A driver is essential, preferably with their own car. A valid first aid qualification is required for this role.

Working hours

2 days a week, across Monday to Thursday from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm, approximately 11 hours per week

Duties include
  • Collecting the children from school
  • Ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and overall development
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children’s needs
  • Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, tidy, and well organised
  • Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
  • Encouraging early literacy by reading books with the children
  • Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to promote structure and development
  • Carrying out light housekeeping tasks related to the children
  • Preparing one simple family meal on one evening each week
