Our posts will combine education and career development with practical patient‑facing care. An Introduction to the Division/Specialty from Head of Clinical Service An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated doctor to join our department at an exciting time in our Trusts future. The Department offers a supportive and encouraging environment in which to develop as a professional with opportunities to develop in specialist fields. The vacancy has arisen in the Trauma & Orthopaedics department for a senior orthopaedic trainee (preferably post CCT). The post is available to commence from 28th February 2026 for 12 months. This post has been developed as a training opportunity for registrars preferably post CCT before taking up consultant posts.

Main duties of the job

• Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients with acute and chronic conditions including complex cases.
• Referral of patients to other specialities as appropriate.
• Out‑patient activities/clinics.
• Involvement in specialty and cross‑specialty multi‑disciplinary teams and meetings.
• Involvement in relevant administration duties.
• Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate.
• Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities.
