Personal Assistant

Looking for a personal assistant to support my independence and act as a support buddy on Fridays.

Purpose of Job

Support me to maintain and develop my independence and be a buddy to attend the UpBeat session and then play pool or a similar activity for about an hour.

Hours of Work

Fixed 09:30 – 13:30 on Fridays; other ad‑hoc hours may be available by mutual agreement.

Rates of Pay

£14.00 per hour plus holiday pay and expenses. Paid 4 weekly in arrears by bank transfer.

Tasks Involved

• Drive from Penarth to Fairwater for the UpBeat session and return.
• Facilitate my participation in the session (e.g., pickup and drop‑off, support with speech if required).
• After the session, accompany me to a pool venue or similar activity and drive back home.

Type of Person Required

• Car driver with own car; business insurance required; mileage will be paid.
• Responsible, reliable, kind and patient.
• Flexible and willing to work the specified hours.
• Someone with interests that align with the activities described (music, pool, etc.) would be a bonus.

About the Job

This part‑time role requires a National Insurance number. A trial period will be required. The wage will be paid every four weeks with appropriate holiday pay. The position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) check (cost paid by employer), and the standard right‑to‑work checks will be carried out before employment begins.
