A high-performing and well-respected secondary school in Exeter is looking to appoint a passionate Music Teacher from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the chance to teach in a school that places the arts at the heart of its culture and values creativity as highly as academic success.
You will teach Music across Key Stages 3–5, delivering engaging lessons that build confidence, technical ability, and appreciation for a broad range of musical styles. The successful candidate will foster curiosity and performance skills through dynamic teaching, helping students connect their learning to the wider world of music.
You’ll also have the opportunity to play an active role in the school’s extensive performing arts programme, directing ensembles, leading choirs, supporting musical theatre productions, and coordinating concerts. The department encourages innovative ideas, whether that’s developing a songwriting club, expanding community partnerships, or organising a student-led performance event.
