This role goes beyond teaching - it's about nurturing a love for music and encouraging students to explore, create, and express themselves. You'll join a vibrant music department with talented students and supportive colleagues who share your enthusiasm for the arts.
Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Lead extracurricular musical groups, including choirs, bands, and other performance ensembles.
Guide students in exploring different instruments, music technology, and genres.
Prepare students for assessments, performances, and formal exams.
Track student progress and tailor support to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into broader school activities and events.
Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred, but not essential).
Experience teaching music in a secondary school environment.
Proficiency in at least one instrument or strong vocal ability.
A genuine passion for music and a drive to inspire young learners.
Strong classroom management skills and excellent communication abilities.
