Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver dynamic and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Lead and develop extracurricular music groups, including choirs, bands, and more
  • Guide students in exploring various instruments, music tech, and diverse genres
  • Prepare students for assessments, performances, and exams
  • Track and support student progress, adapting lessons to suit various learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into the wider school life
  • Maintain strong, positive communication with parents about student progress
What We re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience teaching music at secondary school level
  • Competence in at least one instrument, or strong vocal ability
  • A genuine passion for music and helping students reach their potential
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A collaborative approach to working within a creative, team‑oriented environment
