The Role

We are looking for a Multi-skilled Operative to join our team. If you have a Level 2 qualification in carpentry, brickwork, or painting and decorating - and enjoy working across different trades, this role could be ideal.

Working hours

09:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance across buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas
  • Complete planned jobs and respond to issues as they arise
  • Use company phone/tablet and software to manage tasks, records, and communication
  • Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the task
  • Help plan small projects, estimate costs, and order materials
  • Work from instructions and drawings, managing time to meet deadlines
  • Support apprentices, collaborate with other trades, and maintain high standards
  • Communicate clearly, report problems, and suggest improvements
What we need
  • Good basic Maths, English, and computer skills
  • Level 2/3 City & Guilds in carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, or painting and decorating
  • Able to work across different trades and deliver quality work
  • Comfortable using Word and Excel
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to read technical drawings and plan tasks
