Job summary

A leading maintenance service provider in the Reading area is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Carpenter to perform responsive maintenance repairs across residential properties. The ideal candidate should have NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade and experience in domestic environments. Responsibilities include undertaking carpentry, plumbing, and other repairs, as well as emergency call outs. This role offers competitive weekly pay, bonuses, and a company van.

Our business is growing and so are the opportunities for you to thrive. We are currently looking for a skilled Multi Trade Carpenter to join our successful Response business based in the Reading area. You will specialise in carrying out Responsive Maintenance Repairs to our customers properties.

The Multi Trade role
  • Use your skills to undertake multi trade work, including jobs mostly related to carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, and tiling repair.
  • Working in a domestic setting, you have the opportunity to utilise your fault finding and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attending reactive, emergency, and routine repairs, and on occasions planned refurbishment jobs within void properties.
  • Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair work.
  • Working in a domestic environment, you enjoy working with people, whether as a team or with the residents.
  • Emergency call out will be expected on a rota basis.
What you will bring as a Multi Trade Operative
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade.
  • Ideally experience of working within a domestic/social housing environment, or relevant response environment experience (albeit not essential).
  • Having a passion for making a difference to peoples homes, with strong values in delivering exceptional customer service skills, and enjoy working with people.
  • Driving licence, with eligibility to drive in the UK.
