Job summary

A leading training organization in Rugby is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Multi-Skills Tutor to engage and inspire learners with little or no prior education at HMP Onley. Responsibilities include ensuring appropriate training plans are in place and delivering high-quality courses. Ideal candidates will hold a Level 2 vocational qualification in relevant fields and have substantial vocational experience. The role offers support through appropriate qualifications if needed, enhancing skills in an impactful environment.

Overview

We are recruiting a permanent, full‑time Multi‑Skills Tutor who can deliver training and engage and inspire learners with little or no prior education. Based on‑site at HMP Onley, you will work with small groups of prison‑based learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours while supporting their long‑term goals and aspirations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the appropriate training plans are in place and that advice and guidance is given when required.
  • Deliver high‑quality courses that engage learners and help them reach their potential.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 Vocational qualification in dry lining, plastering, brickwork etc.
  • Expertise in your field with substantial vocational experience in one or more of the above listed subjects.
  • Experience of delivering vocational based training.
  • A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable.
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners.

If you do not currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we will support you through the appropriate qualifications and assessments during your probationary period.
