Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Commutable: Tavistock, North Tawnton, Launceston, Okehampton

Salary: £45,000

Hours: Double Days

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a FMCG factory in Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with strong electrical and fault‑finding skills to support production and drive continuous improvement. If you are a hands on engineer, looking to join an automated factory, then this is the role for you. They have invested a lot into robotics.

Skills required for the maintenance engineer:
  • Must hold a formal engineering qualification
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment.
  • Open to the background - factory maintenance, recycling, food, brick, forces etc
  • Working on both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all maintenance work, including root cause analysis and parts usage.
  • Participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance reliability.
  • Work flexibly to support production demands, including occasional call‑outs or shift cover.
