A leading pharmaceuticals company is seeking an experienced Freelance Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support medical affairs in Oncology and Hematology across the UK. We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Freelance Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support medical affairs activities in Oncology and Hematology across the UK.

This is a flexible, field-based role ideal for a scientifically curious professional who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about advancing cancer care.

Location: Remote (UK-Based)

Type: Freelance / Contract

Sector: Pharmaceuticals

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension)

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary scientific and clinical expert to key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions.
  • Communicate up-to-date, accurate, and balanced scientific information on pipeline and marketed products in oncology/hematology.
  • Support medical strategy development and implementation at the local level.
  • Provide field insights and medical intelligence to internal stakeholders.
  • Support investigator-initiated study (IIS) proposals, advisory boards, and congress attendance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Advanced life science degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc with strong industry experience).
  • Proven experience as an MSL or similar medical affairs role, ideally within oncology and/or hematology.
  • Strong understanding of the UK healthcare and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a contractor/freelancer.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK for KOL engagements
  • Prior freelance or contract-based MSL experience.
