Job description
Overview

MSK Consultant Radiologist role based primarily at Salford Royal Hospital, with the possibility of activity at other sites within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder should have full GMC registration with a valid licence to practise and be on the Specialist Register for Radiology or be within 6 months of CCT or equivalent at the time of interview. The closing date is 05 October 2025.

Main duties

The successful candidate would be expected to participate in MDT and also contribute to the general work of the department including general diagnostic radiology on call. The NCA Group model provides a shared governance framework across Care Organisations to reduce variations in clinical practice, accelerate improvements in patient outcomes and improve productivity. This role offers opportunities for collaborative working to enhance efficiency, capacity and quality. The vision is to deliver a high quality radiology service by recruiting and retaining motivated staff in a modern, fit-for-purpose structure with good work-life balance, aiming to be the employer of choice for Radiology staff in the Northwest. A flexible approach to job planned activity, including home reporting, is being developed.
