Band 8A Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP) to join our established Adult Musculoskeletal (MSK) Assessment Service within the community-based service. We accept a broad range of MSK referrals from local GPs and provide enhanced assessment, facilitating onward referral and management.

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate clinician with extensive experience in the assessment, management, and treatment of MSK conditions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Assessment & Diagnosis: Undertake detailed assessments of patients with a wide range of physical and emotional needs.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Order and interpret diagnostic tests where appropriate and manage onward referrals.
  • Triage & Case Management: Review referrals from GPs, including those with complex medical issues, and ensure timely, effective triage.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Present cases succinctly at MDT meetings and liaise closely with consultant colleagues to facilitate onward care.
  • Injection Therapy: Contribute to the injection therapy service, administering corticosteroid injections for common MSK presentations.
  • Teaching & Supervision: Provide clinical leadership, teaching, and supervision to the MSK Physiotherapy Service and support students and junior staff.
  • Service Development: Promote a positive and dynamic culture, building productive relationships with local GPs and other stakeholders.
  • Pain Service Liaison: Work closely with the Enfield Pain Service, a community-based multidisciplinary team with strong links to our service.
