Mould Maintenance Technician

Location: Shefford
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Mon‑Fri, Rotating: 6am‑2pm & 8am‑4pm
Salary: Up to £32,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established manufacturing business seeking a skilled and motivated Mould Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a hands‑on role focused on maintaining and repairing an extensive portfolio of moulds, ensuring they are production‑ready and performing to the highest standard.

As a Mould Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining, repairing, and improving moulds to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve tool reliability
  • Carrying out high‑quality maintenance work with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork
  • Using digital maintenance systems to record work and manage tooling effectively

Requirements:

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • MIG and TIG welding experience
  • Strong mechanical and fabrication skills, including use of lathes, mills, grinders and hand tools
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Confidence using digital tools and systems (e.g. CMMS or mould maintenance software)
  • Good physical fitness and manual handling awareness (heavy tooling involved)
  • A self‑motivated, reliable approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team‑focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence (Forklift Truck licence desirable)
