Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Mould Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will maintain and repair moulds to ensure optimal performance, work closely with production teams, and undertake high-quality maintenance focusing on safety and reliability. Candidates should have a background in manufacturing, experience in MIG and TIG welding, and strong mechanical skills. A full UK driving licence is required, while a forklift truck licence is preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mould Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our extensive portfolio of moulds, ensuring they’re ready for production when needed. If you thrive in a hands‑on environment and take pride in precision and reliability, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the role
  • Maintain, repair, and improve moulds to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and enhance tool reliability.
  • Carry out high-quality maintenance with a focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Working at rotating shift pattern of Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm and 8:00am to 4:00pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

About you

To be successful in this role you ideally have:

  • Background in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • MIG and TIG welding experience.
  • Strong mechanical and fabrication skills, including use of lathes, mills, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Comfortable using digital tools and systems (e.g., CMMS or mould maintenance software).
  • Physically fit with good manual handling awareness (role involves handling heavy tooling).
  • Self‑motivated, independent, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Reliable team player with a proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (Forklift Truck licence preferred).
