Qualifications

Job description

Our client in Marchwood (SO40) is a market leader in modular space and portable buildings. We are recruiting for a Modular Cabin Fitter to join their established team refurbishing accommodation and storage units, preparing them for hire. This is a temp to perm position with an immediate start, working Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm at £10.00p/h.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally.

Manual preparation for painting

Modify and maintain joinery installations within client products.

General maintenance tasks to timber, plastic and steel portable accommodation units such as; repairing and replacing wall and ceiling boards, fitting partitions, fitting final trims, replacing plywood flooring and removing and fitting wall and ceiling panels.

Various other tasks, including; interior and exterior doors and fittings, fit sinks, taps and worktops, PAT testing and water pressure testing.

Assembly, cleaning and loading of a range of furniture into the cabins and removing on completion of hire.

To work closely with other trades people.

To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions

Occasional visits to third party sites to undertake repairs of any nature to portable accommodation units.


Personal Specification

Good general physical fitness.

Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Basic understanding and acceptance of Health & Safety rules.

Good mix of general maintenance skills and a basic knowledge of power tools.

Basic understanding of plumbing circuits/ systems

Certificates in MPBA or ECA

Have a valid CSCS card, would be desirable
