Job summary

A leading engineering services company is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to operate MEP systems effectively and safely in St Albans and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Building Services and possess an Electrical Engineering qualification. Responsibilities include managing service visits, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining plant rooms to the highest standards. This is a full-time role with core hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Building Services Environments.
  • Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if having 17th Edition.
  • Proactive in achieving high operation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all MEP systems on site competently.
  • Ensure Specialist Vendors' service visits are efficient and quality-inspected.
  • Complete Health and Safety compliance activities, including reporting.

Job description
Mobile Service Engineer

Location : Greater London & Surrounding Areas - Outskirts of M25

Core Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 17 : 00pm

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate all MEP systems on site in a competent, and confident manner (including MV / LV Electrical isolations / operations). Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
  • Ensure that Specialist Vendors service visits are completed efficiently, and quality of work has been inspected and recommendations are communicated to the Integral Supervisor.
  • Actively participate and complete Health and Safety compliance activities, such as Hazard / Near Miss Reporting and regular attendance / completion of scheduled Toolbox Talks.
  • Liaise with the supply chain, when ordering M&E components for remedial / corrective works.
  • Take ownership of site (including all plant rooms) under INTEGRAL control, ensuring they are brought up to and maintained to the required show site standards.
  • Efficient and effective completion of eLogbooks PPM / Reactive tasks that have been allocated, ensuring that tasks have been acknowledged and completed within SLA.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Building Services Environments.
  • Electrical Engineering apprenticeship / NVQ / C&G or similar
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
  • 18th Edition IEE : Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th Edition)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  • Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  • Have good IT skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
