Job location: Hartlepool, TS25
Pay rate: £15.05 per hour | overtime at 150% for any hours worked over 46 | weekly pay in arrears, every Friday
Schedule: 4 on 4 off day 7am-7pm & night 7pm-7am at £14.30/hr O/T after 46hrs

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mobile Plant Operator / FLT Operator to join our successful client based in the Hartlepool, TS25 area. Our client is a waste management specialist.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating a Forklift Truck and safely and efficiently operating and monitoring machinery during process operations.
• Ensuring finished goods are taken off and stored safely and securely in the warehouse.
• Place materials in correct location and take material samples when required.
• Carry out operator duties regarding machine running for optimum performance and availability.
• Collect waste material from the process lines and load them into skips or vehicles.

Person Specification

• FLT licence is essential (valid certifications required).
• Shovel, Grab or Skid Steer experience would be beneficial.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage.
