Are you a fully qualified, highly competent, and proactive Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a fantastic opportunity in Peterborough? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of multiple state‑of‑the‑art facilities.

About the Role

This is a crucial role within our maintenance department, requiring a strong foundation in electrical engineering and solid experience with mechanical systems. You will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out scheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure compliance.

• Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic faults on production machinery and plant equipment.

• PLC Systems: Confidently work with and fault‑find on PLC controlled systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley).

• Installation & Improvement: Assist with the installation of new equipment and contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to strict health and safety regulations, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and relevant electrical standards (e.g., 18th Edition).

• Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary maintenance paperwork and use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Full Electrical Qualification: Must be a fully qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer with a recognised apprenticeship, HNC/HND, City & Guilds 2360/2330/2357 (or equivalent).

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

• Proven Multi‑Skilled Experience: Demonstrable experience working in a fast‑paced, industrial/manufacturing environment, with a strong mechanical aptitude (e.g., motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics).

• PLC Fault‑Finding: Solid experience in diagnostics and fault resolution on PLC hardware and software.

• Safety Focused: A strong commitment to health and safety best practices.
