Are you a fully qualified, highly competent, and proactive Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a fantastic opportunity in Peterborough? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of multiple state‑of‑the‑art facilities.
This is a crucial role within our maintenance department, requiring a strong foundation in electrical engineering and solid experience with mechanical systems. You will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the sites.
Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out scheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure compliance.
Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic faults on production machinery and plant equipment.
PLC Systems: Confidently work with and fault‑find on PLC controlled systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley).
Installation & Improvement: Assist with the installation of new equipment and contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to strict health and safety regulations, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and relevant electrical standards (e.g., 18th Edition).
Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary maintenance paperwork and use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Full Electrical Qualification: Must be a fully qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer with a recognised apprenticeship, HNC/HND, City & Guilds 2360/2330/2357 (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Proven Multi‑Skilled Experience: Demonstrable experience working in a fast‑paced, industrial/manufacturing environment, with a strong mechanical aptitude (e.g., motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics).
PLC Fault‑Finding: Solid experience in diagnostics and fault resolution on PLC hardware and software.
Safety Focused: A strong commitment to health and safety best practices.
