Job summary

A leading water utility company is seeking an Instrumentation, Control & Automation Technician to join their Water Production Operations Team in Greater London. The role entails installation, maintenance, and repairs of water assets, along with supervision of contractors. The ideal candidate will hold an HNC or NVQ level 3 qualification, be knowledgeable about SCADA systems, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. A competitive salary of up to £47,000 per annum is offered, with great benefits including a contributory pension and annual leave.

Qualifications

  • HNC or NVQ level 3 qualification in instrumentation, control, and automation discipline.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and PLC programming.
  • Ability to read and fault-find from circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair water production assets.
  • Supervise contractors and suppliers.
  • Investigate asset failures and implement repairs quickly.

Skills

Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Experience in calibration and maintenance of instrumentation

Education

HNC level or NVQ level 3 in instrumentation, control and automation
