Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer | Glasgow (Ibrox Depot) | Full Time | £30,000 plus Commission & Overtime

Our client is a well-established hydraulic hose replacement company based in Glasgow, operating from their Ibrox Business Park depot. They provide professional service and high-quality products to a wide range of industries throughout the UK.

  • Flexibility to join an on-call rota (1 in 3 weeks)
  • Willingness to work in physically demanding environments (rain or shine)

What will your role look like?

As a Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer, you will play a key part in keeping clients’ machinery running smoothly. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Attending customer sites to carry out risk assessments and complete work safely and on time
  • Working on a wide variety of machinery, from boats and excavators to road sweepers, transporters, and even submarines
  • Fault-finding, problem-solving, and minimising downtime for customers
  • Maintaining your van to a high standard of cleanliness and ensuring it is fully stocked (brand-new vans provided)
  • Covering clients across Central Scotland, Carlisle, Aberdeen, and Dundee (engineers are kept local where possible)
  • Being part of a team that delivers 24/7, 365-day coverage to a wide client base, including local authorities, plant hire firms, and large-scale contractors
What can you expect in return?
  • Commission structure:
  • £10k–£12.5k sales → 2%
  • £12.5k–£15k sales → 2.5%
  • £15k+ sales → 3%
  • On-call standby allowance: £100 (paid even if not called out)
  • After-hours call-outs: £25/hr, door-to-door
  • Paid door-to-door travel if the commute requires an early start or late finish
  • Overtime, commission, and weekly standby payments
  • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
