Mobile Gas Engineer Position

Vacancy Reference: 86335. Position: Mobile Gas Engineer. Location: Hampshire region. Salary: £36,234 up to £50,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair the gas plant, including fabric and basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract.
  • Ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed to legislative standards and all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales.
  • Participate on the on‑call rota.
  • Monitor and visit sub‑contractors to assess the standard of work and health and safety compliance.
  • Issue appropriate permits, control small work and perform escort duties as required.
  • Ensure all certifications are correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, complete appropriate paperwork and reports, and ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within required timescales.
  • Maintain a full current driving licence.
  • Demonstrate strong customer‑care focus, good communication skills and proactive approach.
  • Anticipate, diagnose and repair faults.
  • Complete essential paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines.
  • Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable).
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices.
