Job description

Pay: £25.00 per hour

About The Role

Mobile maintenance engineer covering commercial building's in the Derby and Leicester area.

Use of own vehicle will be needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled electrical maintenance on commercial building systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
  • Inspect and test electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
  • Perform routine checks on control panels, circuit breakers, and wiring integrity.
  • Respond promptly to electrical faults and breakdowns across multiple sites.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Ensure all works comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Complete risk assessments and method statements before commencing work.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
  • Service and maintain emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and backup power supplies.
  • Test and maintain portable appliances (PAT testing) as required.
  • Monitor and maintain building management systems (BMS) for electrical components.
  • Update PPM schedules and log completed tasks in CAFM systems.
  • Provide detailed reports on maintenance activities and any remedial works required.
