The Software Systems Engineer develops, modifies and codes software systems programming applications. Responsible for evaluating and preparing system engineering and technical analyses; documents, proposals for change, and other technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication
- Collaborate on analyzing the existing software and improving the processes
- Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality
- Key participant in integration of in-house software for our test equipment
- Taking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization
- Key participant in the design and development of MES production applications covering the data pipe integrating shop floor to enterprise application with systems
- Working on Smart Factory Solutions as part of our Industry 4.0 Strategy
- Taking part in modifying and optimising existing systems and development of new opportunities
- Collaborating with various internal teams and external vendors on software projects
- Creating reporting tools for end users
- Providing production support for existing systems and processes developed by the MIS team
- Training end users to use new functions and systems
- Manage database backups and recovery procedures
- Implement database security measures to protect sensitive information
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

Desirable Criteria
- MCSA & or MCSE in MS SQL
- 3+ years' experience in developing MES applications.
- Machine integration and data collection
- Experience in data optimization and report creation
- Proven track record of improving performance of database
- Experience and understanding of SQL Database Migration, Restoration and Maintenance
- Experience with data transformation and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processed.
