Job summary

Job description

Swift Technical & Engineering Division are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a position for a Fabricator Welder based in Shipley, Permanent role.

We are looking for an experienced Structural Steel Welder to contribute to the fabrication and assembly of structural steel components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding techniques, blueprint reading, and a meticulous attention to detail. As a Structural Steel Welder, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and strength of fabricated structures.

Role Responsibilities
  • Must be able to MIG weld & experience in structural steels works
  • Read technical drawings and sketches in order to build jobs to specification
  • To fabricate from technical drawings welding using various methods of assembly.
  • Welding bases, arms & columns, Mezzanine floors
  • Measure and cut steel components according to project specifications.
  • Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of universal standards
  • fillet and but welding experience
  • Follow safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes

Starting pay rate £14.00 PAYE in addition you will accrue holiday pay

Onsite free parking available

To work Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm Friday 7am to 12pm, 39 hours per week
