We are seeking experienced and compassionate Band 6 Midwives to join our dedicated maternity team within the Children, Young People and Families Services Directorate. Based at MPH, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, equitable, and personalised maternal and neonatal care across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled midwife who is passionate about promoting choice, advocating for women and birthing people, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
This is permanent with full-time and part-time positions available, offering flexibility to suit your work‑life balance. As a Band 6 Midwife, you will work autonomously within professional guidelines, provide leadership and mentorship to colleagues, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence‑based care, supporting physiological birth, and managing complex cases when required. This role also involves participation in the on‑call rota and the ability to work across both community and acute settings.
