MI and Analytics Manager

Description

Develop and lead Asta's MI and Analytics capabilities, maintaining existing and developing new MI and Analytics using Tableau and other MI tools, along with analysing and interpreting the output.
Lead the development of new processes that lead to efficiency gains across the company through the building of new data sources and creating automation of manual, time intensive tasks.
This role will be pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights, leveraging MI tools such as Tableau, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish the MI and Analytics roadmap, create a framework for providing accurate, timely, insightful and audience appropriate MI and analytics for cross-functional purposes.
  • Lead the delivery of the MI and Analytics roadmap by evolving and embedding MI and analytics, lead the development of new data processes, efficiencies and functionalities.
  • Champion data quality, governance, and best practices across MI processes. Work closely with data teams to ensure robust data pipelines and reliable sources.
  • Be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of regular MI reports, including but not limited to POWG, PRWG and quarterly Syndicate Board papers.
  • Develop further automation for the exhibits within board papers and drive automation across the company to relieve pressure points within teams at Asta.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the business to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights that drive performance.
  • Establish the Tableau Super Users forum to share knowledge and ideas over deliverance of new reports, cubes, scorecards and dashboards in an accurate and timely manner, and analyse the resulting output.
  • Manage the relationship with Asta's Tableau and The Information Lab Account Managers as appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Proven experience in an MI or Analytics role with a high degree of expertise and proficiency in Tableau and other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
  • Experience in developing MI strategies and delivering business-wide reporting solutions.
  • Deep understanding of data management principles including data quality management, data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Ability to understand and analyse numerical information to be able to offer insight and conclusions to aid decision making and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Good understanding of Lloyd's/London Market central services, including an awareness of the broader insurance and reinsurance industry.
  • Completed a Degree in an analytical subject such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems.
