MFL Teacher - French / Spanish (Good Academy)

Location: Birmingham Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential to become permanent) Salary: Competitive, based on experience

A "Good" rated secondary academy in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and committed MFL Teacher to join their thriving Languages department from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who can deliver engaging French and/or Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and who is eager to contribute to a positive, forward-thinking school community.

The Role
  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, culturally rich lessons that inspire language learning
  • Support learners of mixed abilities through clear differentiation
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement
  • Contribute to departmental development, curriculum planning, and enrichment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

  • QTS or equivalent relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in French and/or Spanish
  • Experience teaching MFL at KS3 & KS4 (GCSE experience advantageous)
  • Confident classroom management and ability to motivate learners
