Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: CRISIS CAFE

To support young people aged 12 to 18 years in a café‑style setting, registering and settling new participants into the social café. Acting as a key worker for young people by providing one‑to‑one support when required, participating in group work activities and assisting the lead mental health facilitator. Attending training and team meetings, and contributing to fundraising activities.

Responsibilities
  • To meet and greet children, young people and parent/carers to support the mental health needs of all young people accessing Crisis Café.
  • To undertake supportive work as assigned by Crisis Café Management in the social café or therapeutic group work activities.
  • To participate in activities of the organisation such as meetings, training and fundraising.
  • To adhere to Crisis Café’s Child Protection, Safeguarding and Confidentiality policy and procedures.
  • To assist staff members in cleaning and preparation of the café for youth groups.
  • To act in the best interests of all children and young people who use the services of the organisation.

The Employer is: CRISIS CAFE. JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
