Job description
Overview

Slough CMHT has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary team. The role offers a Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm pattern. The post holder will have the opportunity to develop group work, as well as individual intervention skills.

Slough is the second largest town in Berkshire and is within the Greater London Urban Area. The A4, M4, M40 and M25 are easily accessible for travel to and from the site.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a Mental Health Nurse in the Community Mental Health Team. This is a multi-disciplinary team with a single manager operating in a locality where there is a high degree of integration between mental health services.
  • Be responsible for the formulation, execution, and evaluation of a care plan for a designated number of patients who may present with significant complexities. Develop individual plans in discussion with the patient and informed by the wider team using recovery principles.
  • As an experienced team member, manage and supervise junior staff and actively participate in quality assurance and education programmes.
  • Contribute to the evolving service as part of a multidisciplinary team, with responsibilities that may be reviewed as services develop.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree level professional qualification
  • Registered for practice through NMC
  • Ability to carry out high quality assessments and treatment interventions for individuals and groups
  • Experience of working in community mental health services, or experience of working with adults with mental health problems
