A major UK hospital trust is seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Senior Assistant Technical Officer to support their Cancer Pharmacy Team in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing anti-cancer therapies, managing stock, and ensuring a high-quality patient-focused service. Required qualifications include GCSEs and NVQ L2 in pharmacy services. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Full training is provided, and applicants must have current UK registration.

Band 3 Pharmacy Senior Assistant Technical Officer – Cancer Services
An exciting new opportunity has arisen following the promotion of the previous post holder.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Cancer Pharmacy Team to support and assist the supply of medication to this speciality.
The Pharmacy Senior Assistant Technical Officer will work within the County Cancer Centre dispensing systemic anti‑cancer therapy (SACT) using both electronic pharmacy systems and electronic prescribing.
Responsibilities include receiving orders, stock control, stock taking, completing expiry date checks and undertaking top‑of‑ward stock.
Based in the Cancer Centre Pharmacy at the County site, you will support the out‑patient ward at the County site and the out‑patient services collecting medication directly from the pharmacy department.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well‑organised, able to work both independently and as part of a team, adapt to changing demands, work accurately and under pressure, and be committed to a high‑quality patient‑focused service.
Full competency training will be provided to support your development.
