The Role

Main focus is to provide support to the centralised typing service for a busy group of fertility clinics. The successful candidate will have strong audio typing experience, preferably with exposure to medical terminology (though this can be taught).

Part‑time position working 20 hours per week – we are flexible on the schedule for the right candidate.

Operating hours are Monday to Friday – between 07.00 and 17.00.

This opportunity is available as a 6 month fixed‑term contract.

The Location

Oxford Fertility was established in 1992 and is one of the UK’s longest standing and largest IVF clinics. Due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, the clinic has grown into a leading fertility clinic and offers a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT. Providing treatment to both NHS and private patients. Conveniently located in a business park situated on the outskirts of Oxford, close to junction 8a of the M40, there is ample free parking for patients and staff around the building.

Key Responsibilities

• To be completely confidential in all matters pertaining to the company.
• Audio typing of all correspondence with Winscribe iPhone/Android app dictations for the consultants and their teams across 12 locations in the UK & Ireland within set deadlines.
• Publishing accurately typed letters to patient’s online portals once approved by consultants.
• Printing and distribution of typed letters by post (including the use of a postal franking machine).
• Typing speed of 60/70 wpm.
• Responsible for managing own workload and assisting other medical secretaries.
• General administration as required.
• Responding to email enquiries in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum one year’s experience working in an audio typist role.
• Skills & competencies normally associated with relevant administration experience.
• Proficient knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Packages.
• Experience in a health care setting; desirable experience in fertility healthcare.
• Excellent keyboard skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff over the telephone and face‑to‑face.
• Excellent time management skills.

Salary: Depending on experience
