More detail about the role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced secretary or administrator to join the team our team as a Medical Secretary. Based within the Centre for Womens Health on the main Royal Devon and Exeter Wonford site, the post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administration support for our patients and clinical team of Consultant Gynaecologist/Obstetricians. The post holder will have a range of administrative experience, ideally in a secretarial role or within a Healthcare environment; however, we welcome applicants from other sectors who feel they have relevant transferable skills. Working in a busy and sometimes demanding job, within a supportive team, they must be a good team player and enjoy working within a Multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administration support for patients and the clinical team.
  • Prioritise competing workstreams and manage your own caseload without direct supervision.
  • Maintain an empathetic and efficient telephone manner when dealing with patients, relatives and healthcare professionals.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.
Working Pattern

Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, finish time 5:00pm.
