Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new member to join the Medical Resourcing Team at MCHFT.

As a Medical Resourcing Officer you will support our clinical divisions with the recruitment and temporary staffing arrangements of medical staff, providing administrative support and delivering a first‑class customer service.

The role is great for networking and building relationships with different departments. You will work closely with all medical staff, senior managers, HR teams, divisional service teams, executive directors, outside agencies and other Trust staff as necessary to meet service need.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to embrace and develop this fast‑paced and interesting role. You must be an effective communicator, possess excellent IT skills (Outlook, MS Teams, Microsoft Word and Excel), have excellent accuracy and attention to detail and be able to organise and prioritise your work.

This role is office based at Infinity House, Crewe and the working hours are Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00. Once you’ve settled in, and "learned the ropes," we can discuss a hybrid working pattern.

The Medical Resourcing Team are friendly and supportive; there is no I in Team! You need a strong work ethic as it is a busy role, however, we will provide you with all the training and support you need to establish yourself in the role.

Main duties of the job
  • Look after the day‑to‑day recruitment activity for medical staff within your designated areas, undertake pre‑employment checks for all new starters and ensure the pre‑boarding journey is first‑class, supporting the reduction in time to hire.
  • Support clinical managers by exploring new roles, discussing creative recruitment methods and exploring the use of placement agencies to reduce temporary staffing spend and provide stability for the medical workforce in that area.
  • Oversee the temporary staffing arrangements, complete compliance checks regularly, support the expansion of our medical bank and contribute to the reduction of agency spend.
Key requirements for a busy role
  • Excellent IT skills – we use various systems within the team including Microsoft Office packages and external platforms. Full training will be provided.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills – it is very busy, no day is the same but if you love a varied role this is for you.
  • Outstanding customer service – you’ll liaise with internal and external stakeholders daily at all levels of seniority so good communication skills and a professional manner are essential.
  • Creativity – we are always looking at new ways to do things and improve our service so ideas are always welcome.
